3/15/2009 10:22 AM How time has flownIt's been quite some time since our last update, and well lots has changed. Gaby is almost walking now. She is standing on her own every once in a while but still hasn't quite mastered the balancing thing... She is getting cuter every day and she brings more and more joy to us every passing day. God has blessed us with a wonderful daughter. Anyway I wanted you all to know that i will be updating the gallery with pictures from time to time. I am still taking many pictures of her so rather than keep making this page getting slower by having it load all the pictures at once, i created a fancy little gallery for you all to enjoy. Oh Gaby started waving goodbye today!! We were at he cousinf Lucas's birthday party and I had been trying to get her to do it for some time but she never did and today she figured it out. Anyway that's al for now. Stay tuned for some future updates... To see the Gallery click here
9/6/2008 10:22 AM Waiting Patiently for Hurricane Ike
Well I promised you all some more pictures and here they are. It has been a while since the last post and much has happened but I just haven't had the time to update. Gaby is just getting cuter every day. She is starting to laugh and recognize people now. I am pretty sure she knows who mom and dad are now. She laughs histerically when ever you make funny faces and sing to her. She is eating more and more every day and is pretty solid on her 6 ounces per feeding now. She continues to slep through the night which is a blessing for us all. She is very well behaved as long as her tummy is full. Since the last time I posted, Gaby has met her great grandfather and took her first trip in the pathfinder. She was presented at church on the 17th, and she ate her first solids. Well, I dont know if you can really call it solids ( prune flavored baby food ). She also received the second hepatitis shot. I think I got it all there. Anyways Gaby is about tho go through her first hurricane if Ike decides to head our way. Well that just about sums it up... See you all next time, enjoy the pictures...

8/16/2008 6:29 PM Gaby's Update
Gaby is doing great... Sorry its been so long since the last update just been real busy doing house chores and work. Anyway, our little princess is growing very fast. She has already outgrown her bassinet and began sleeping in her crib last night. We were very sad to see her go from our room as we have already grown accustomed to her, but all good things must come to an end. Last week on Thursday Gaby got her ears pierced. I think it hurt Daisy and I more than it did her. She onlycried for a couple of minutes and was back to normal in no time. It's truely amazing how fast she is growing. I have taken a couple of pictures but I am not home so it is little hard for me to post them on here. I willpost them asap, I promise! As for Gaby she is starting to smile and make little noises here and there so we are just overwhelmed with emotion. It feels so nice when she smiles at you. Gaby has begun sleeping on her side now although she cant roll over just yet. She doesn't really like to be put on her belly. She enjoys her little jungle gym and swinging on the little swing chair thingy. She likes going on car rides, but hates it when the car stops moving. Well I think hat just about wraps it up. I will try to put up those pictures soon!!!
7/06/2008 8:27 AM Gaby's Update

Well it's been a while since the last update and Gaby is showing just that. She went to the doctor on Wednesday July 2nd 2008 and she weighed in at 10 pounds 13 ounces and is 23 inches long (almost 2 feet). She is still ranging anywhere between 3 and 6 ounces on her feedings but is taking longer sleeps which helps us at night. The doctor found her doing well and gave her the hepatitis B part 2 shot. Daisy says she didn't like that much but recovered soon after. She did have a little baby acne but the doctor gave her some cream and after the first application it seems to be going away. Gaby is now a little over six weeks and is growing extremely fast. I actualy notice that she has grown from the time I leave the house for work to the time I get back home. It's amazing just how fast she is growing.
I finaly got the time to get some pictures together for you all to see.
The first group is Gabys first fireworks. No she didn't light them but she was there to see them. She also witnessed mommy and daddy making their famous Jello flag cake for independance day.
The second set is just some random pictures we have taken around the house.
Finally, here is a set of Gabys 1 month birthday extravaganza family from Georgia even came down for the fun.
6/20/2008 9:59 PM Gaby's Update
Daisy and I just finished giving Gaby a shower. She didn't seem to enjoy it as much as she has in the past but after shedding some tears she got over it fairly quickly. She graduated yesterday from newborn diapers to size 1. I think they get more expensive now so that might not be such a great thing but we are still happy because she is gaining weight and looking healthier every day. All in all she is doing great and Daisy is also almost fully recovered. Gaby found out today that she is having a new baby boy cousin from Rob and Kathy (Hectors Cousin). She is super excited and can't wait to meet him...
6/18/2008 9:16 PM Gaby's Update
It's been a while since the last update but Gaby is dong well. She is sleeping most of the night with her occasionaly crying attack but Daisy and I have been figuring out what they all mean. Long story short she is either hungry, needs to be burped or has a dirty diaper. Since I last updated Gaby's umbilical cord dried out and fell off and now you could see her cute little belly button, we were really excited when this happened last Thursday.
Gaby has started moving around now and no longer seems to enjoy her inclined to sleep pillow. She loves to scoot all the way down and use it as a pillow for her head... She has also grown to hate being wrapped up linke a burrito. She gets angry if you wrap her arms and well you wont hear the end of it. She is growing so much it is amazing. Her last weigh in came at 8 pounds 6 ounces. She is currently drinking 4 ounces of Enfamil Lipil with Iron every 3 to 4 hours. I started working last week which is one of the reasons for the lack of updates. Gaby seems to get excited about the time it is time for me to come back home.
Daisy is doing a great job with her and is very thoughtful and tries not to wake me up during the night time on weekdays. I wish I could say the same for Gaby though. She really doesn't care what time or day it is, She just wants her formula!!! She is a blessing and Daisy and I are amazed at what God has given us. She really is beautiful and is getting cuter every day.
6/8/2008 7:07 AM Gaby's first Photo Shoot

Daisy just wanted me to get some snapshots off Gaby today so here they are.
5/31/2008 9:12 PM Gaby turns one week old
Happy Birthday Gaby!!! We dedided to throw Gaby a mini B-day with only Our parents and sisters. Gaby had a great time and we enjoyed Gaby's Chocolate strawberry slide cake. It actually tastes better than it looks (trust me). Anyway I forgot to take pictures sorry. I did manage to remember taking a picture of the cake though... The other pictures were after the party when Roxy came over to see Gaby.
5/30/2008 7:40 PM Gaby goes to the Doctor's
Well the time has come when Gaby has to do her first check up. Gaby seemed excited and eager to go meet her doctor for the first time. Our trip to the doctor was very short, it turns out his office is only a couple of minutes away. When we got there Gaby was weighed in at 7.8 pounds which is great because she was at 7.3 when we got out of the hospital. The doctors said that she would loose some weight and gain it back soon but Gaby is already on her way up so that is great. Dr. Lopez said that Gaby was doing great and he was a very nice doctor so Daisy and I are really happy with him. Gaby is due for another visit next week. Check out the pictures of Gabys first visit.
5/29/2008 8:35 PM Gaby is settling in
Gabys is getting used to her home, she is very good and rarely cries but when she cries she CRIES. I didn't update yesterday because we had a visit to the doctor, and I had to do some diaper and formula shopping so by the time I got home I was pooped myself. Gaby was having problems producing stool yesterday also, we ended up calling the doctor and he said to give her a complete 24 hours before we take her in. Sure enough she pooped this morning and all is back to normal. Gaby is getting cuter every day. She changes a little every day and you can actually notice her growing. Her eyes turned from green when she was born to a beautiful blue/grey color but we are not sure if that is how she will stay. Her hair is long and getting lighter every day. Everyone says she will be blonde but ehh only time will tell.
5/27/2008 9:37 PM Gaby's First day Home
Gaby spent most of her first day sleeping, and attending visitors. She enjoyed her first night out of the hospital meeting her cousin Ilany for the very first time. Daisy and I introduced her to her room and showed her all the neat stuff that family and friends had given her. She was pooped out from all the tests and shots they gave ger in the hospital and went to sleep right away. more to come later...
5/26/2008 8:32 AM Gaby Comes Homes
Today was an exciting day for us all. Gaby and Daisy were discharged around noon, we left the hospital around 1:50 PM and arived at home a little later on a beautiful Memorial day. She didn't like the car seat too much but did enjoy the car trip. She was crying when we put her in the seat but the ride home drained her and she fell asleep by the time we made it home. We had a very pleasant hospital stay and had an excellent staff. They were very courteous, professional and caring. They showed Gaby very much love and we appreciate them for that. Daisy is still feeling some pain but is doing just fine.
5/25/2008 9:35 PM Second Shower
After a visit from Tia Evelyn,Great grandma Wita, Tia Ely, Tio Robert, Abuelo Cheo, Abuela Isabel, Gradma Daisy, great aunt Mayra, and Julio and Mayra from Church, Gaby got her second shower. She was tired after the shower and did't want to eat so we are trying to do that now. Gaby is gaining a more natural color now and is a bit stronger. I had a lesson in changing diapers today and passed with flying colors, 4 diapers today for me. Mommy still in bed because she cant move around somuch but she will have her chance real soon.
5/25/2008 3:49 PM Hello Everyone
Gaby and Mommy are doing great. Daisy is feeling ok but seems to be recovering well. Gaby is a little more active today and had her first cry for milk although it was not that loud. Gaby had her first proffesional picture taken today in her little yellow dress we bought for her to go home in, she looked adorable. The doctor says we might be able to go home tomorrow depending on how Daisy is doing so make sure to keep her in prayer.
5/24/2008 Gaby Arrives
Gaby arrived today through natrual labor at 5:57pm. She weighs 7 pounds 9 ounces, and measures 21 inches long. Daisy is doing well and is very happy. We are super excited about our new family. Gaby is beautiful, she has her mommy's hands , feet, and chin and my nose. She was born with a full set of hair that is like a very light brown. Her skin tone is more like her moms than her dads.. She has blue/green eyes and had them open from the minute she came out. Gaby was very calm today and was very sleepy. Daisy was in surgery after delivery to put some stitches and Gaby enjoyed her nursery for about 2.5 hours. She was given her first bath and had her vitals measured there. Mommy and I are very tired. It is actually 1:27 am sunday morning as I am writing this from the hospital room. Gaby was just taken to the nursery so that we can get some sleep and will return at around 6:00 AM tomorrow morning. She had about 12 ccs of milk today and did her first poopoo at midnight. More to come tomorrow night... Good night... Here are some of Gabys first pictures.
Daisy holds Gaby for the first time.
5/10/2008 Update
We have fixed the water heater and given the door 3 coats of stain. I plan to give it a coat of polyurethane tomorrow morning and then another in the afternoon. That should just about do it for Gaby's room. All we can do after that is done is sit and wait. Both the video, and picture camera have now been charged and are just waiting for Gaby to get here. Daisy and I are super excited to meet Gaby. We ask you all to keep us in your prayers for everything to go well while we are in the hospital. By the way we went to the hospital on Tuesday and Everything checked out just fine. We are still on time with due date of May 24th... Only two more weeks to go.
5/3/2008 Water heater begins to leak.
Our water heater has been leaking for quite some time now and we had no idea. We noticed because the unstained door moldings began to soak up some water. So we are currently working on getting a new water heater installed. Once that is done we will begin on staining the door. Our goal is to have it all done by moday. Mommy is not feeling to well so make sure to keep her in your praers. She has a doctors appointment on Tuesday.
